"But, really, why does anyone create? You feel a... a restlessness inside, a need to make something new, something no one has ever seen before. You want to add to the beauty and the richness of the world with a gift, an offering that is uniquely yours. It's an act of selfishness and generosity, all rolled into one."

Krystle's Fairies

Krystle's new threads are so pretty, I wanted to use them right away. I needed to choose a pattern that would be enhanced by the subtle shading of a hand-dyed solid. I went with my "Angels in the Snow".
This is done in "Wine Berry". Just look at those patches of more and less intense color.

This is Jane Eborall's Joseph Motif. Hmm, maybe I should have blocked it before I put it on the scanner. The threads are "Of Berries and Fairies" and "Fairy Faint". This was a bit of a challenge only because I vastly underestimated how much thread I would need for the outer round and had to keep adding thread to the second shuttle. I really like the way the colors came out.

  1. Miranda, I love Angels in the Snow! It looks amazing in that color! Is the pattern available? I'd love to purchase it!

  2. I normally am happy to give out the few patterns I've made. With this one, though, I have to be a bit more stingy. Since I used it as a giveaway prize in the contest to name it, I feel that I shouldn't give it out to anyone else. If I did that, then the winners won't have gotten anything special. I may have it available for purchase sometime in the future, but I'm just not that organized right now. I'm so sorry.

But if you see anything else you like on my blog that I've designed, I will gladly send you any other pattern!

Oh, I see in your comment to Diane you only gave it away to the winners... bummer. :( That's MEAN!!! I hope you change your mind later!
