"But, really, why does anyone create? You feel a... a restlessness inside, a need to make something new, something no one has ever seen before. You want to add to the beauty and the richness of the world with a gift, an offering that is uniquely yours. It's an act of selfishness and generosity, all rolled into one."

A Tribute

The pattern is Jane Eborall's Cat Standing. I had to add a couple of extra cut and ties and change the order of a few rings in order to change colors where I needed to. I also made the tail longer by one ring and chain, because Poly's tail was very long and elegant. Overall, though, I'd say this is a pretty good representation. Especially the whiskers, which on the real Poly were rather extraordinary.

  3. A lovely kitty. The cat who owns the house on the ridge is a marble kitty with a ringed tail. She is amazing!
    I do love Jane's patterns...

This is my first visit, but won't be my last...

Happy Tatting from a Shuttle Tatter..
