"But, really, why does anyone create? You feel a... a restlessness inside, a need to make something new, something no one has ever seen before. You want to add to the beauty and the richness of the world with a gift, an offering that is uniquely yours. It's an act of selfishness and generosity, all rolled into one."

Dona Nobis Pacem

Today's musical interlude is not strictly a Christmas song, but is nonetheless completely in keeping with the spirit of the season, or at least what should be the spirit of the season. This version of "Dona Nobis Pacem" is arranged by Angi Bemiss.

I've added links in the sidebar to the previous harp videos so you can still find them when they drop off the front page.

  1. Goodness, Miranda. The title of your post had me singing, with memories of Coro in high school, when we used to sing this. Brought tears to my eyes.
    Thank you.

  2. I have always loved this. Thank you, indeed!

  3. We've sung this in our community choir's Christmas concerts. Beautifully played. Thank you for sharing.

  4. Lovely...thank you for sharing, I have really been enjoying each of these!
